Where has 2013 gone???

I can't believe that it is almost June and 2013 is half over! I just realized that I haven't posted anything since early 2012 and I have no excuses except that I am super busy and well that isn't an excuse but it is one that I am going to use.

2013' So Far:

January: We welcomed baby Giada into our extended family (my brother's new little one) 

February 12th: Also know as Aunt Teri, Uncle Mike & Roman Day

March: My parents finally decided 1 year later to take 40th anniversary images (something about my dad needed to make sure that he was caught up on his "beauty sleep" :) Here they are:

April: April Showers bring May Flowers right.....................NO May Snow!

I just need to get back into the swing of blogging but with the studio I don't have much time to do anything. Sorry to everyone who keeps an eye on us I will try harder I promise :)

I have no excuses...sorry for not posting

I can't come up with any good excuses for why I haven't blogged since March 2012...sorry :-( It has been quite a year here in Iowa.
Our abnormal Iowa winter: 
Winter normally takes place from October-March but this year was different! We had 1 snow storm which on one hand is great because then we don't have ice but it really is hard on our trees and landscaping that require the moisture and the freezing to kill the bugs.
A little time away:
We took a couple of days and decided to head north towards the Mall of America, Cabella's and Ikea.  Mike is quite the sport when it comes to shopping never once did he ask "are we done yet" or "don't you think we have been here long enough".  Cabella's is awesome and quite an experience-if you haven't been you need to stop when you are driving by :-)

Summer 2013:
Summer is officially over and we spent a lot of time camping and spending time outside. We did visit Lake Okoboji this year for a couple of days which was a lot of fun but if/when we go back we are renting a boat :-) Here are a few pics from this summer

  

The Iowa State Fair is a very big deal in our family and actually I can't remember not going to the state fair when I was a child. This year was pretty special we borrowed my nephew Roman and took him to the fair for Aunt Teri & Uncle Mike and Grandma & Grandpa Day at the Iowa State Fair.

As we near the end of 2012, we hope that you have had a year to remember, one to never forget and you have made memories to last a lifetime.

 


 

Where has the time gone???????????????????

Okay, so today it dawned on me that I haven't been updating this blog. Where has the time gone????? I can't believe that it is already March and before long it will be April. Yikes!!!!!!!!!! I better hold on 2012 is going sooooooooooooo fast! We didn't have much of a winter this year but it did snow a few times (I actually started to get used to just having to wear a light jacket when we ventured out) I am sure that we will pay for this during the summer.

We hope that you all had a wonderful holiday season with your family and friends.  Our holliday season was wonderful! We enjoy spending time with our famly and remembering it's not about the gifts under the tree but the Gift of Family. Mike and I rang in 2012 playing hand and foot(card game) and decided after many requests, to re-open the blog and get rid of our shutterfly acct.

Rolo is doing really well this year but anything would be an improvement from last year.

As much as we love the vet we hope that we don't see him for a while.

Hershey is great, happy and naughty as ever! Seeing as though she is not a purbread she doesn't have any problems, dosen't seem to let anything bother her but since she is a girl she does have an attitude. Talk about sassy....she does have an opinion and even if you don't want hear about it- YOU WILL!
